CAMAS MERLOT ROUGE
The Camas range declines 12 different grape varieties. Each of these illustrates their specific characteristics from their terroir of origin: Limoux (Languedoc Roussillon).
Since the commitment of Anne de Joyeuse to our Protect Planet program, the local environment has strongly gained in biological diversity. We can now identify more than eighty species of orchids in our vineyards. The best known of these is locally called the ‘Bee Orchid’.
Size: 750 ml
A deep coloured RED. Bright, deep red wine with purple highlights and aromas of ripe red and black fruits.
VINEYARD : With reasoned viticulture, our methods of cultivation are based on the observation of the natural plant cycles of vines and the development of biodiversity. The vineyards, planted on clay and limestone soil, have been selected from the upper valley of the Aude terroir within the Atlantic climatic zone.
GRAPE VARIETY : Merlot.
VINIFICATION : Alcoholic fermentation in tanks for ten days under controlled temperatures.
TASTING NOTES : Best served at 14°C. The elegant nose reveals scents of spices and red fruit. Savours of blackcurrant predominate on the palate, leading to a harmonious finish.
MATCHING WITH FOOD : This red will be marvellous with tender red meat or to accompany our wonderful local recipe, the Fricassée de Limoux.
